The hotline provides information for adults who are neglected, abused, or financially exploited and unable to protect themselves due to mental or physical abilities or advanced age.

The Eldercare Locator

A public service of the U.S. Administration on Aging, the Eldercare Locator was created to help connect older adults and their families to trustworthy local support resources.
Telephone:  1-800-677-1116, Office hours are 9am – 8pm. M-F.
Call 911 if in danger!
TTY:  Access your local relay service or dial 711 for your relay operator and ask to be connected.

The Tennessee Vulnerable Adults Coalition (TVAC)

The TVAC focuses on raising awareness about abuse against vulnerable and older adults.  The organization promotes community education and coordinates efforts to help in prevention.

National Center on Elder Abuse (NCEA)

Directed by the U.S. Administration on Aging, the NCEA is a national resource center dedicated to the prevention of elder abuse.  The NCEA provides training to states and community-based organizations.
The National Committee for the Prevention of Elder Abuse (NCPEA)
The NCPEA’S mission is to prevent abuse and neglect of older adults, and adults with disabilities.  Members of the NCPEA include researchers, practitioners, educators, and advocates.
